The day has come, the batik making day. It was my first
tryout in my life TO MAKE BATIK print. I have watched some tutorial on youtube.
The process for a rookie to do this is kinda tedious. Okay, I am a designer so
why do I fear because I have my teammates to back me up and I already know what
I gonna print on it.
So, here is the the batik
making place. Everybody is so anxious on what is going on. Look at my
classmate, Jie Yan. She is so focusing on my camera.
Beware of hot wax because it is not gonna burn your hand but
also mould your hand. Well, this is the refilling area and color picking area.
How ironic it is when the guide says that we have only few colors for you guys.
But it seems that there is a lot color selection for us.
So this picture up here the 1st top part of Alice
whereby we use rabbit and mad hatter’s hat as representation of Alice . The
rabbit seems quite horrified with the blood stain on its teeth. Actually we been given four pieces of batik
cloth to work it out. Actually our whole idea for this artwork is to combine
this four pieces batik to become one main body.
Well, this is the upper part of the alice body which is her
blouse dress. This was created Victoria.
This photo up here is the bottom part of the dress for alice which created by Carmen. We can see that we incorporate some patterns to it. The Red Queen, the poker cards pattern, the army and the flamingo.
at last, my creation will be the leg part. It is actually the
smiling car in Alice In the Wonderland But painted with psychedelic colors to
show that our theme is a “twisted” theme. Whereby Alice is not in her wonderland
but in a more horrifying land.
SO, this is the final outcome of our combinations of the four
batik to become one Alice. Looking great from the camera but I hope it look
great during the presentation day. So, this is Alice In The Hororland.
